Check it out!

"Unreal Tournament 2007 will have a whole lot to offer: all-new gameplay on a massive scale, an entirely new line of vehicles, expanded community support, and graphics and physics that are truly a generation ahead."

Edit: Much less detail than what we saw at the E3 demo last year. Look at the first screen to see what I am talking about.

Here's a little comparison with the original demo.

I guess that's the best they can do with the cards currently available without taking a serious hit in performance.

IMO, the detail shown in the second screenshot isn't quite needed for a game like Unreal Tournament. However, I do see the decrease in detail, and would optomistically chalk this up to beginning screens of a game called UT2007 shown in mid-2005.

Fair enough. I was just pointing it out, not complaining. You're right in that fast-paced fps's like UT don't need that much detail anyway.

But I'm sure if the next-gen cards can provide a significant increase in performance, then the level of detail might increase consequently.

I think that was the most impressvie screenie..

:Q

Is that an actual screenshot or a rendering? Wow!

If it turns out looking that good IMO it will be a step up on DIII,HL2,ect.

It would almost have to be, or else what's the point? Remember, that this will be released at least a year and a half after the "Big Three"...

If it turns out that good I'm going to crap my pants. This may be the 2nd game I've ever pre-ordered.
