Gamespot Review 9.5 for WoW

This is making me want to play the game even more. I must resist, finals, bachelors, phd.....help me


lol, but what a great score. I think this is the highest for an mmorpg.

They gave the graphics a 9....lol

I'm not knocking the game though....it looks really fun...it's scoring a 93 on Metacritic

Personally, I think all of the gaming sites reviews are biased, it's hard not to be when a human is involved. But consistency across the boad is the key. The graphics are cartoony, but I think they look great.

Well, a guy I was questing with yesterday said he was on 56k and had no lag. He even said he was dissapointed that he ordered ISDN starting next week because he was having no problems.

Then again, there was this other guy who had like 4000 ping. So YMMV.

I don't know about VERY playable. The times I've been lagging, it just takes longer to cast stuff, which gets annoying when you cast a lot of "instant-cast" spells or dangerous when acting as the primary group healer (though nobody's died on me from my lag yet).

it is

lvl'ed to 20 in a week playing on a laptop w/ modem

lag doesnt seem to bad even when i was getting 500+ ping though normally it woudl stay between 300~450

because timing is not as critical as an fps

i just played it for the first time. I started at 6 and now its past 10, it feels like it was just a twinkling of the eye. It is all i can think about now. n00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Has anybody actually experienced the experience gain for not playing for a couple of days. According to the review, you get an experience bonus for having a well rested character.

Yea, its the rested bonus, not a straight experience gain. While you are rested, you get double exp, and the longer you've been resting, the more exp you can get double on.

I'm not playing the retail game.. but in the open beta, i noticed that while your experience bar is in blue, you'll earn double experience points.. that is the best time to kill tough monsters.

I wasn't going to play it either, but $19.99 for the game was too much or too little for me to resist.

Well the deal wasn't really a deal in the sense that I had to buy something else to get it. It's over, so I won't bore you guys with the details. I just purchased 3 separate jewelry sale or clearance items at Target $29 or more this past weekend and got a gift card each time. Convenient for me since I was buying gifts anyway and with the huge sale they were having I got some really good gifts.

I thought I'd HAVE to play it NOW at this price. You probably just saved my grades though
