Here's my list I'd love to hear other peoples list. They are not listed in any order.
1) Age of Conan, I hoped it would fill the group up and adventure void from EQ1 but it's maps were too small and linear.
2) Eve, I love reading about Eve but not being able to leave your ship or being able to "fly" it made it tedious
3) EQ2 same as AOC
4) PS3 MAG massive team shooter but game pad or move control made it too frustrating
5) Star Craft 2, great history and interactions on the ship were cool but I wasn't crazy about the units and commands
6) final fantasy 13 PS3, it had none of the charm from earlier versions
7) the new xcom games from Altair, turn based teams level but it's missing destructible environments
8) Spore I won't waste time explaining this one

1) Demigod. Actually, I love the game, but the bugs at the beginning destroyed the community and it never rebounded.
2) Homeworld. Short linear campaign and surprising lack of strategic options. One of the few games that I finished only to go, "That was it?"
3) Oblivion. Beautiful, cool, but overwhelmed me with the freedom and the leveling system just plain stunk.
4) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Got tedious and frustrating around the midpoint and couldn't push through.
5) Medieval. Managing all of your units and cities became overwhelming at a certain point that I would forget about merchants and such.

1) Hellgate: London - I enjoyed Diablo, and thought the idea of a similar game with guns was cool. In practice the story wasn't very good and the gameplay was way too repetitive, plus the graphics were substandard. I still think a hack and slash with guns works (there are a few already, infact it is an older genre than even the original Diablo)

2)World of Warcraft - I thought I would see what all the hype was about. I tried the game for about an hour or two, but the horrible controls, and just unintuitive and unnecesarily complex gameplay made sure that I would never try it again. I still can't imagine why it is so popular, the controls suck! NWN has a much better control scheme, and I wish they would have done it that way.

3)Baldurs Gate - I have heard so many great things about this game that I bought it off of GoG a few months ago. I play it on occasion, and I am on Chapter 4, but it just doesn't grab me like I thought it would. The interface is pretty clunky, and the storyline is barely there. It isn't particularly bad, it just isn't as good as I expected it to be.

I'll update this later if I think of any more.

EDIT:

4) Diablo 2 - A few years after Diablo was released, I figured this game would be much better than the original. However, when I got it, it was almost the exact same game. the graphics and gameplay were almost identical, and I found the game pretty disappointing. I had already played the original to death, so I was already bored with the sequel by the time I got through the first level. I expected much more from this game, but it really seemed so meh to me, and didn't really innovate from the original.

5) C&C: Red Alert 2 - The original Command and Conquer might be my favorite game of all time, so up until this game I bought all C&C games without a second thought. After this game, I stopped buying the games sight unseen. It was horribly acted, and the story made no sense. The game play was ok, but the units were somewhat on the absurd side, which tore me away from the suspension of disbelief the original had. I was just all around disappointed in this game, and I never came close to finishing either campaign for this game.

In other words: Biggest disappointment.

Oblivion.
Fallout 3.
Starcraft 2.
Supreme Commander.

And most of all, Test Drive Unlimited 2.

KotoR 2.

I tried so hard to like that game (and I might still finish it one day), but even with the restored content mod it's just too unfinished. And the finished parts are really loose.

The first Kotor had it's annoyances, but it was a tight game. Even after not playing for a few days or a week I was able to jump right back in.

With KotoR 2 it's completely different for me. I sort of petered out after a fast start and have tried several times to come back to it.

But I have no clue where I left off, what's going on, why things are happening, what I'm looking for etc etc etc

The only thing the KotoR 2 does accomplish is that it makes me want to start a new game of KotoR to play the dark side.

Are you just trying to be controversial? Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV are both amazing games. Best RPGs I have played in the last 5 years. Starcraft 2 is a polished, nearly perfectly balanced successor with a fun/decent sci-fi story and competitive online play.

Supreme Commander 2 does kinda suck, but 1 was fun, and a great attempt by a small studio. Never played TDU, it might actually suck.

Fallout 3 - Story, voice acting, low level cap, and dungeon design all sucked. So much hype but was let down.

Dragon Age: Origins - This game just didn't grab me at all. I got bored of it very quickly.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Another hyped game that I just found intensely boring.

The newer Wolfenstein.

I spent waaaaayyy too much time in RTCW, and I expected a decent game, both SP and MP.

1) Crysis 2- We lost another good PC game to consolitus.
2) Homefront- Another great idea ruined by consolitus.
3) Doom 3- No more classic red devils and graphics were dumbed down for wimpy PCs.
4) FarCry 2- Malaria pills? If I want a sim that makes me wipe my butt I'll buy one.
5) Allan Wake- MS bragged for years it would have the best graphics ever, and then only released a low resolution console version.

If by nearly perfect you mean its control interface encourages overreliance on APM spam rather than actual strategy and lacks commands for basic things like selecting all units, rotating your camera to a different position, or being able to zoom out more than 5 feet.

Cue blizzard fanboys telling me game doesnt need these things and Im just a noob.

Good call on Age of Conan. The universe was very interesting to me but the game was a let down at the beginning :(

Also, here's my list of games that I thought were greatly overrated:

-GTA4. This is actually the first GTA game I played. I picked it up for the PS3 after hearing so many good things about it. Sure it's open world, but there was nothing that was interesting to do in that game.

-Mass Effect 2. I enjoyed the first, but the second was a let down for me.

-Quake Wars: Enemy Territory. I loved Wolfenstein ET. QWET was actually fun, but it did not have the community support that it needed to flourish.

-Left 4 Dead: Not a bad game, but it could have been so much more and so much better.

Oblivion, while I did enjoy it wasn't all that. The lvln system was horrible and I can easily see how it would turn people off.

FO3, if you were a fan of FO1/2 again, I can see how it was bad. It was basically Oblivion with guns in FO universe.

Supreme Commander 2, doesn't *kinda* sucks. It is full blown 1 legged mexican hooker at a donkey show sucks.

Many of us didnt even need the hype. Simply because it was the 3rd in a great series we were expecting an awesome experience. Instead we got Oblivion with guns.
And swearing.

The Witcher. I'd heard so many good things and it was awful.

FFXIV, released too early but they're doing a lot of work on it. I just cant shake the the fact that I like the mechanics of FFXI so much more though, I'd rather it look like 14 and play like 11.

NWN2, catered to RPers heavily and just couldn't suit the pace of action/pvp possible in NWN.

Team Fortress 2. I like the art style unlike many people, like that it has gotten a bunch of free updates and the community is still going strong after all these years, but I'm just horrible at the game and I can't get better.

Final Fantasy X. Bought a PS2 a few years ago and decided to get it since I had never played a FF game before and it got good reviews. Completely hated it. Other FF games might be good but I'll never know because that game turned me off to the entire series. At least it was cheap. They must have sold a zillion copies of it.

X3 Terran Conflict. Was hoping for a modernized first person Escape Velocity but it's just too complex for me to wrap my head around. On the plus side it got me to reinstall EV Nova and play it again.

Gears of War. Don't really know why, just never could enjoy it. Played a fair amount of campaign co-op with a friend but I haven't had the desire to finish it. Never enjoyed the gameplay, the only real reason I played it was because I wanted to do something co-op. Same story with Army Of Two.

GTA 3 -- got this used for the PC based on the hype. Graphics were weak, driving with mouse + keyboard was not fun. Plus I'm Lawful Good by nature and playing a thug just wasn't that interesting for me. Crackdown 1 on the other hand was all kinds of fun.

Dragon Age Origins. Almost near the end, but I just feel completely uninspired to play it anymore.

The Witcher, was hyped up as being the next NeverWinter Night, I got a Fable like game (take it, it was better than Fable).

Oblivion, I wanted another Morrowind, I got a grindfest, third-person shooter with stats and levels.

Empire Total War - Love the era, but game was uninspiring. Navy battles were too clunky. Man, what I would give for a remake of Sid Meier's Gettysburg.

Bioshock and Left4dead 2

No doubt they are good games, but I simply could not get into those games. Played 3 hours of each game before quitting.

Left 4 Dead 2

Wanted to like it, but I dunno just something I found very MEH about it. I like the concept and such, but the execution or something I dunno. I had more fun in singleplayer then online cause the community is horrible, second only to the DOTA/HON/LOL genre community.
