Games you like hacking ?

Not really hacking but using those custom executables that gave you infinite gold or life or god mode.

I like Age of empires 2 HD edition
Sacrifice
BF2 editing the bot file for 150 bots.
Quake 1 reaper bot! large map running 16 reaper bots! so fun with or without monster. turned on.

Quake 3 redmeat pack and other mods for that map.

Using the Left 4 Dead command console. Spawning hundreds of witches and then having a couple of tanks pound their way through them. Hearing all those witches scream and going crazy was pretty amusing.

Mods = yes
Trainers / cheats = not usually. I've turned on god mode to see the ending of a shooter or two with a cheap and annoying final boss.
hacks = no.

Back in the BASIC and DOS days I would do things like that. These days all that new fangled coding is out of my league 🙂

I only use Cheats if I get stuck in a game. Like, a level I just can't seem to beat or Boss I can't beat/am too annoyed with.

Doesn't happen often.

NEVER HACKS
Mods Of course TES series
Trainers/cheats About two games Once each Only when there was a game error that wouldn't allow a normal progression to the next level POP I had to use a third party save game in one area in order to access the next level

The Wife

Used to make realistic hybrids in Gran Turismo 2 back in the day using gameshark codes. I put an AWD drivetrain with the Pikes Peak Escude "duel" engine in a Fiat 500. That thing was a beast...

Fallout New Vegas... wish I didn't have the codes memorized to instantly level up to grab that one perk that'll get me past an obstacle...

Other than that, I try not to... but man, I love to hoard in those games. 😀 Grab all possible, sell all possible, become FILTHY rich. 😀 If I knew the code to modify carrying weight I probably would, but I resist looking them up to keep as much "game experience" as possible!

Company of Heroes 2 - removing pop caps and fielding a super health tank is always fun. Also, instant build times and no money, fuel or ammo limits makes for a great way to work off stress from work.

Baldurs Gate 2. There were a bunch of hacks and mods and shit all over the internet. Then the enhanced edition came out and fixed loads of issues and added features so I didnt need them anymore.

I use trainers for some games I replay. Often to remove annoyances like having infinite malaria pills in FC2 or longer battery life for the camera in Outlast. Some stuff just annoys me to a point where I don't even wanna play it.
Others like Skyrim I did some commands to get some skills that I found tedious and had no interest in grinding through, some I don't mind if they're interesting but damn I can only grind for so long and can't grind on them all.

One thing I used to like about the old Game Genie was adding odd things to make an old game fun again, like faster speed or fly through the air. It could add a few more hours of interest to a game I was already sick of anyway.
I also used it or the Gameshark back in the day when I rented games for a day or two so I could finish them within that time frame. Glad I did since I wasn't ever going to buy them anyway.

In college, my brother and I were playing and ended up with a corrupted flash drive that somehow caused a 240sx to have around 23000 hp. Starting the car in the highest gear would cause the tires to spin.

Oh, I learned about text files with delimited tabbing so I could mess with data in Diablo 2. I made it so gold dropped rarely but in larger piles.
Sped up my game quite a bit.

I don't particularly like hacking any game; if I need to cheat to enjoy it, the game's probably not that good to begin with. But if I am going to go the hack route, my only requirement is that it's a single-player offline game; I'm not going to let my abuse of a game taint anyone else's gaming experience.

I do remember some goofy moments in Project IGI using a trainer that included a warp function to whatever your crosshair was trained on; you could teleport in and out of areas stabbing guards and disappearing. Made me feel like Nightcrawler. I also used mods to increase the amount of suit power in Crysis; what fun is running fast if you can only do it one second at a time?

I like GODMODE at times. I don't really game anymore. When I pick one up today, I just burn through it.

Did Skyrim with just leather goods and some ore cheats.

I started as a non-armed fighter. Then I traded between a 2-H sword, and axe and 1-H sword.
