There are game genres I don't like much - and I've found a game in some of them I like.
I thought it'd be a twist on the lists to have people list those.
I don't care for racing games, but really enjoy the excellent Burnout Paradise. It has that almost 'just right' combination of interesting 'realistic environment with diversity, diversity of gameplay with racing/crashing/etc., and is a ball to go fast in. I've spent a lot of time racing around the city, and the expansion is fun too, and adds some new things.
I don't care for the hex-based wargame genre much, but when I tried the old Perfect General 2, it was a ball.
Honorable Mention: I don't really dislike the platform genre that much, but it's usually not too fun; an exception is the very creative Little Big Planet.
