The only real game I'm looking forward to is Dragon Age: Origins, I've got it on preorder. SW:TOR and ME2 look interesting, however, I'm taking a wait and see approach to them. I was very excited about SC2, however, the recent announcements that the game will launch in a broken state, lacking crucial LAN play, and include Blizzard's first DRM scheme, really turned me off on it. I'll download the cutscenes from BT after the game's release and call it a day.

Diablo 3 . . . maybe. D2 was only worth a single play through to see the cutscenes, not really sure D3 can justify a 50+ price tag for that.

The Old Republic. Curse you Boiware and EA for turning the KOTOR franchise into an MMO. (Apologies to MMO fans, but this is just my personal preference that I much prefer single player games to an MMO, and I really wanted a third single player game to tie up the plot from the first two games.)

Still on the table, Bioware created a new office with new staff to forge the MMO, so they are not draining the golden Bioware studio up north.

That being said, the only game I care about right now is Dragon Age, but there are a few modules for NWN that I am looking forward to playing.

I'll buy SW:TOR, Dragon Age, and Assassin's Creed 2 for sure.

May buy depending on reviews: StarCraft 2, RAGE, Diablo 3, Jagged Alliance 3

Dragon Age...the only thing that peeves me about that game is the game's final build (PC version) has been available for months now. They've developed new content since then which they plan to sell as DLC for $30 on game day (Warden's Keep and Shale). So you ponied up $80 for the collector's edition and you still have to spend another $30 for content thats been developed from March to August.

Bioware has joined EA's "milk you for money" bandwagon.

Um, dude, you have heard a thing called sales tax right? About 1/3 of the country pays 10% and shipping is like $7.

These things are actual story quests and features and aren't something minor like phat lewt or some new outfits to wear. So $30 of game day DLC which was the point of my post and you wanted to (erroneously) point something completely irrelevant. Good job.

7% sales tax here, and if you go to the store and place the preorder then you don't have to worry about shipping. So with sales tax, that makes it $70.

Is Bioware actually charging for this? I'm guessing for PC users it would be free, seeing as how the Mass Effect DLC was/is.

A lot of good games here.

ME2
Alpha Protocol
Dragon Age
SW:TOR
Mechwarrior 5
Crysis 3
Starcraft 2
Diablo 3
COD: Modern Warfare 2

I'm also looking forward to Need For Speed Shift, hopefully it'll be like Grid to tide me over until Grid 2. Looks like they're going back to the days of real AI, real driving and the like, reminds me of my first NFS game, Porsche Unleashed.

edit: reading through all the posts, sort of depressing how many sequels there are and few original IPs, isn't it?

Basically nothing :(

I've realized the days of my style of game (fast paced fps like UT/Quake/Painkiller) are over, so the future is very bleak :(

Definite Buys on Day 1

Diablo 3 - I loves me some Diablo and the gameplay videos look badass!!

Batman AA - PS3 Edition with the Joker FTW!!

CoD Modern Warfare 2 - Who won't be getting this?

Final Fantasy XIII

God of War 3

Half Life 2: Ep3

Will pick these up when the price is right...

Dragon Age (will buy once all the DLC is finished, the game has some patches, and there is a GOTY type edition available)

Starcraft 2 Battlechest (I mainly play the SP campaigns, so I'll just wait to play them all)

Bioshock 2 (Must find time to complete the original Bioshock before buying)

Supreme Commander 2 (Will wait for reviews to come in, but it looks like the franchise is going in a good direction)
