Frodolives,

I thought about that, in fact, I scanned over the For Sale threads. But, I don't care too much for the idea of buying a used game, especially when the difference in price is not far from that which I can buy it new. If I were in the market for one of the newer, more advanced games, I would think about it harder, because I will not pay the premiums demanded for them. I guess I'm just not enough of a gamer at heart.

letsee ...

no killing as object

lotsa puzzles

must find hard-to-find game new

Vendor must accept cash ... no credit cards

and you run a marginal videocard for today's games
[even though the rest of your rtig is decent]

You're pretty *fussy*, aren't you? :p
:Q

i guess you hit the nail on the head ... you aren't really a PC gamer ;)

PC gamers put up with real crap to play the games they crave

my last suggestion is to go and D/L some free game demos and get a *feel* for what you are looking ...

and you can try D2D to d/l full games

{don't tell us you are still on dialup}

--like me

The new Splinter Cell game for PC perhaps? A friend of mine has been playing it, and apparently killing in there actually makes your score go down. To get a perfect score you have to sneak through undetected.

I am going off of what I have read in his posts, I have not played it myself.
