Let's not screw up a beautiful language any more than we have already. 😛

Similar to how I would not jump off a cliff if everyone else was, I am not going to incorrectly speak English much like many others do. 🙂 That's my strategery for English preservation.

ups

i'm pretty sure it's motion sickness.

i get it from playing any fps. basically it's the confusion between seeing motion but not feeling any physically(fps games) or feeling it but not seeing it(like being below deck on a boat).

they make devices to counterract the effects. dramamine also works but it makes you feel very drowsy.

Not really too sure about that one. I feel sick when playing CZ for 20 minutes, but 3 hours of CS won't do anything to me. My neighbor pointed out how the CZ physics are a little off, so that might be a problem.

I have no trouble playing other FPSs though, I can play UT, Q3, UT2k3 etc just fine. The only two FPSs that got me sick so far are CZ and Max Payne.

so far the only game that made me want to puke was Descent.

(looks like there are many of us who got sick with Descent, no wonder it didnt do very well)

Half Life *sigh*, MOHAA and that new Matrix game to name a few. Thank GOD I can play Battlefield 1942 because that is my true love. I don't really care about 98% of the other games out there right now.

Descent 1, Descent 3.

Some FPS's. I've noticed that it seems to have to do with how much "bob" the screen has. Jedi Academy in first-person view makes me sick pretty fast. I can play RtCW (and most other FPS games) for hours and not even notice. I don't think framerate affects me too much.

yeah i think you're right. all these people who can play some fps but not others pretty much blows my theory out of the water.

i guess i'm only pretty sure in my case since i can't play any of them.

Hmm, none.. but I can't read or focus on anything too hard in a moving car...

Black and White (stupid game anyway) - but all that zooming in and out and trying to use that hand to do everything including spinning around and tilting.....makes me sick thinking about it. And I never get sick in a car/boat/plane/rollercoaster/etc.
