Games that have occupied that most time in your life?

Counter-Strike and Battlefield 2 on the PC. I've spent quite a bit of time playing Forza 2 on the PC. My roommates and I played a ton of NCAA Football 2004 in college, as well. Quite a bit of GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark on the N64. Super Mario Kart way back when.

Did you play on Mplayer by chance? I was also hardcore into R6. Played daily for many hours for over a year. My name was River. Also played Tribes.

Anyway my list would be:
Eve-Online: 3 years
Diablo II: 2 years
Rainbow Six: 1yr+

Thats about it. Lots of other games but those are the only ones over a year I think.

Yup, mplayer was pretty cool back in the day. Miss it, never liked the zone though we had to use it for tournament play

Diablo 2. Took about 2 years of my life. I was seriously addicted to this game and it's the reason I won't touch MMO like WoW.
Street Fighter 2 series. Lived at the arcade because of this game.
Madden, NHL, and Live series on Genesis. Classic.

I mean, I didn't devote my life to it the way wow nerds do, but for sure everyday after school until well past midnight was spent on Bungie.net trying to break into the top8.

Team Fortress for Quake1 and TFC for Half-Life for PC...took up a lot of my time in high school

Console:
All the Super Mario Bros and Zelda 1 NES, SuperMarioWorld and Link to the Past SNES.

Last game that took entirely forever i played was Zelda TP for Wii....i think i was over 45 hours.

Call of Duty 4 - played that game almost everyday for 10 months straight

2nd place: Final Fantasy X - 80 hours to complete

Counter-Strike by far. I've been playing since beta 4 virtually non-stop (when I went away to college the network was awful for gaming, so I cut way back on CS). I've been playing Source since it was released, and spent about 2 years playing both 1.6 and Source simultaneously. I'd estimate that I play 20+ hours of CS:S a week currently. Hell, I like CS so much I made, not one, but two movies about the game (Clutch and Clutch 2).

I've played thousands of games in my lifetime, many of them for huge number of hours, but I don't think any of them would come within even 1% of the amount of time I've spent on CS.
