BF2 is not capable of that resolution. You can force or allow stretching to fill via the panel or drivers but better yet don't get fixated on using the maximum addressable area of the display (the primary benefit from having a narrower landscape aspect is actually a wider portrait aspect). Rather, simply set the game to a normal 1280x960. Then, if the FPD has such options, disable scaling or set to centered or fixed-aspect and likewise if connected via DVI do the same via driver configuration (or alternately if FPD options exist set driver to display scaling). Although such displays are "narrowscreen" as opposed to standard or widescreen, widescreengamingforum is prolly the best place for info aboot this schtuff.
