Games on sale

Is Mass Effect Andromeda a good deal for $4? On Origin. I did buy Supreme Commander Forged Alliance for some friends tonight. $2.50 for that game is a great deal with the LOUD mod (free).

edit: Tried buying Dying Light with a buddy on Steam, and neither of us could purchase it. Steam is definitely making more money that it can handle right now.

greenmangaming has a sale going on, and on top they give a 12% off with code GMG12

GMG has some decent deals and I liked them a bit as an underdog, but be aware that most purchases can't be refunded - they send the steam key when you purchase usually, and won't refund purchases when you have been sent the key.

I'd made a thread for this like a year or more ago but can't find it now.

New addition to the list - you can't go wrong - Heroes of Might and Magic III complete for $3.39 on gog.com.

Here is your old thread. https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/games-on-sale.2552856/

If you're going to keep this topic you might change the title to something similar or at least include the word "sale" so it's easy to find.

Thanks - but I suspect that might be a different thread - or I might not be remembering accurately.

I actually think of a 'sale thread' for notable sales as distinct from a 'steals' thread about the biggest 'steal' deals. So the new Elder Scrolls expansion 20% off is a notable sale, while the HoMM 3 complete for $3.39 is a 'steal'.

For $3.00, I think I'm gonna grab that. I'm not all that familiar with the Borderlands franchise, but it looks like a blast.
It's an awesome deal! Last week it was on sale from Steam and I added the rest of the content I was missing at a discount and it still cost the exact same price as this deal.

Borderlands 2 is...odd, yet fun as hell to play. Still trying to figure out some of the odds and ends of game play, but I'm getting it. I can see where is would be great in co-op mode with friends.

GOG has a great sale on Might and Magic now, e.g., HoMM 3 complete $1.49, about the same for M&M 1-6 package. Sorry not posting many here now over moderation.

I hated playing the Borderlands franchise with other people. There's too many hidden areas and far too many impatient people who would complain if I wanted to explore. Then there was the aspect of people using the black weapons or joining your game just to crash it with unscripted weapons (though that was patched pretty quickly). Through all the current borderlands games I have over 4,000 hours and I think I've played a total of 45 minutes of that 4,000 hours in co-op.

Steam's Quakecon sale is fetching better prices on a lot of bethsoft published games than the steam summer sale.

Picked up Doom 2016, Dishonored 2, and D2: Death of the Outsider for $18 bucks all told. Picked up Prey Deluxe edition for $8 a couple days ago but I think that was just a daily deal.
