Games for Windows Live

I'm talking about the program...

There is like 5 game demos, and 10 downloadable games. That's it.
MS needs to make this better; make it more like it's Xbox counterpart.
Actually have content that makes people want to play on the PC!

Things to improve:

Add more options in Settings!
Friends list!
MORE CONTENT!
Achievement browsing
Skin changing...this thing is ugly

Are you referring to this? And this? Not sure what you mean by Achievement browsing, and improving it.

There is a friends list...I've never bothered trying it since everyone else uses Steam Friends or X-Fire.

Steam has everything you asked for and does everything so much better.

True. Steam does do a good job with it. It's just that if MS minimized the gap between Games for Windows and Xbox Live, it would connect PC-oriented gamers (me) with console oriented gamers (my friends).

That would be a horrible thing. Xbox live is terrible anyways. It is full of advertisements and trials and is looking to rob you every time you turn it on. They try to downplay it by using points instead of real money but in the end it costs you real money. They might as well put a credit card machine in it so you can just swipe your card every time.

It's not like you have to spend extra money on XBLA games or DLC. If you don't want them, don't buy them. Simple as that.

I for one, am glad that there's a trial for all XBLA games. If you look over on the PSN side of things, there's very few demos for their PSN games, so I buy fewer PSN games.

Games for Windows Live is just a way for MS to transition more publishers, developers, and gamers to the Xbox. They have no interest in promoting PC gaming. They are doing everything they can to bring down PC gaming and replace it with the Xbox.

And now we can end this thread.

And once their scheme of trying to milk the nickel and dimes from pc gamers like they do they schmucks with the xbox failed after getting the big FU from the pcgamers, the entire concept is now nothing more than a cheap label on game boxes.

GFWL was just Microsoft's pathetic too little too late attempt to pretend like they cared about PC gaming when Vista came out. Since they tried to charge money for something that steam already did better and for free with a large existing install base nothing happened. But its not like Microsoft really gave to shats to begin with.
