im running:

windows xp sp2
intel e6400 at default speed, with stock cooler
ASRock vsta775
1GIG DDR3200, (mismatched 512's could this be a problem?)
creative soundblaster 2 soundcard
geforce agp 6800gt at default

i just replaced my older P4 northwood and a 478 motherboard, with the conroe and the mobo... i didnt reformat, but i was careful to unintall all the chipset drivers before hand.

running windows and normal programs is fine, but playing games for 15 minutes or more locks up my computer... am i missing something?

had a nortwood to before i got my c2d and didn`t reformat either for some time.

i had problems with the ide and sata drivers that mixed together. The pc crashed all the time and it went away when i blocked the sata controller. BUT reformated it and flashed the bios to 2.10, it helped alot and i could finally oc my system after that and hold it stabil both ide/sata wise and oc wise.

e6600 2.4 @ 2.66
cellshock pc6400 ddr2 2gb DC
geforce 7800 gs+ 512mbddr3 agpx8 @ 625/1422

What can i say =) love this mobo though it sucks at ocing.

do it in windows remove it from the hardware thingys. A thing i forgot to tell about is that my pc crashed everytime i tried to play fear back when i had bios 1.80 and the old windows installed. Now it works. So reinstall windows cause it found a new controller when i reinstalled windows and now i can play fear at insane speeds =) . Imo u got a mixup of the drivers and the bios isen`t happy about that.

loosen your memory timings. comand per clock needs to be at 2T with this board, even with good ram.
