K i'm at a loss with the selection of games right now. Nothing is holding my interest. I played WoW for a couple months but that lost interest fast. I just finished Dungeon Siege II and didn't really like it that much. I remember back in the day, games like xcom and civ3 I could play day in and day out and still have a blast. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Are there any games out now that can hold someones interest longer than a week? And please don't say BF2..eww. Any ideas? Am i missing something??

Do you like RTS? Warcraft 3 is worth the $ - expansion included. Download 6.12b of the DOTA mod, it's fun.

Maybe it is time to have another habit.^_^
Or you can try other kind of game. Like flight simulation.....
Maybe you will find fun again in other games.
Wish you good luck.

Civilization 4 (this year)
Dragon Age (> 6months)
AoE III (this year)
Elder Scrolls IV (this year)

I wholeheartedly agree with the Rome Total War suggestion. Also, look into the updated Pirates! game, perhaps? You can pour a lot of time into both these games. But definitely Rome TW if you don't have it already.

Oh, I think I have Rome TW that came bundled with something I bought. I'll have to try that. I've played homeworld - loved that game. I've actually downloaded this little online game called subspace. Crappy graphics, but it's all based purely on skill and it's online. Seems fun...keep the suggestions coming..I like it ;)

tell me how 3 is a classic...;) Did they patch some fun into it?

If you like RPGs you could get into the might and magic series, starting with 6 or 7. Don't get 9 though. 6, 7 and 8 are all great. And that rhymes.

Definately try Rome Total War. If you liked Homeworld (who didn't) play Homeworld 2, also an awesome game.

I would tell you FEAR but if you are against BF2 I'm assuming you don't like FPS in general.

Not necessarily. I love HL2, Farcry, and the FEAR demo... but can't stand BF2. The community is 95% immature bastards and it doesn't hold my interest at all.

That might be more true than you know. :)

Sometimes it really is just time to take a break, you know - get away from games for a while, and come back with a new attitude or at least a fresh perspective.
