This seems like an odd project, they are still power limited by the 6 pin plug, sure, the temps will go down, but, not sure I really see the point once you max out the voltage the card can handle.

They did it with the 1080 FE as well to see how much thermals were effecting / limiting the card and how much power was.

Full build is now completed, much lower thermals, so custom cards should be awesome.

Neither completely cooled the VRM, the driver chips only are cooled by the fan. Couldn't have hurt the guy to take one or two of these copper memory heatsinks, saw them up and paste them to the driver chips.

Shoddy modding, but the card seems to benefit from better cooling.



Custom cards or reference PCB + proper cooling are going to be fun to watch.

seems like if AIB 480 can do 20% factory oc, this card can and will be king of all cards under 200$.

weird... Rx 480 at 1390Mhz , 0.1% low ( dunno what is it !) is lower than reference , 33 vs 39 ?
