Um... I see several problems... and I'm just at the beginning of the article! The chart on Page 2 has the X1800XT's core listed at 600, but it should be 625. It has the reference 7800GTX's memory listed at 1300, but it should be 1200.

EDIT: It also has the X1800XT's memory listed at 1400, should be 1500... I see a few more issues throughout the entire article... LOL

That's a very nice review, in spite of any mistakes it has.

Still looks like the best bang for $$ is the 7800GT. I also like the fact that they throw in a 6800GS just give a little more perspective.

How is it a nice review? There are tons of mistakes on it which are crucial. I guess to a average idiot it must be a good review.

Well, I think of myself as a little more than just an average idiot. :)

Anyways, I only buy a VC based on how well it performs in games that I play. What the hell do I care if they mistyped the core clock speed, or some other number.

If a particular card is listed as having a core clock speed of 900MHz, 512MB Memory at 1800MHz, but runs CoD2 16x12 at 8fps for whatever reason, I'm not going to buy the card.

Wow at the number of typos in that article. And where can I buy this 7800GHz 512MB thing they mention at the bottom of the last page? ;)

It is a pretty poor review. Lots of typo's. Or maybe they are just that ignorant. Also funny how they claim that the XT is a "little cheaper", when its on newegg for $550 OEM, and $580 retail, both in stock. Yet out of the four listed on newegg, they are all $750, and out of stock. Same for ZZF, Monarch.. etc. Little cheaper? Hardly, a lot cheaper, and actually available.

I guess you guys don't remember GamePC's article on Pentium M vs Turion. These people write reviews on products they sell, I wouldn't give their results an ounce of credence.

I emailed him about his last comment, saying that the XT's are a "little cheaper", and presented him with some facts. He says "Perhaps I'll modify my phrasing." Then goes on to tell me that 512MB's are easier to get than XT's. Despite Newegg, ZZF, and Monarch all being sold out of 512MB's, all the while the XT is in stock at each, with multiple cards.

I like the last part...

"In conclusion, nVidia certainly has a better overall product, but it also costs quite a bit more as well. If you?re willing to drop the cash on the 7800 GHz 512 MB, you?ll be treated to the finest graphics card on the market. The Radeon X1800 XT (at around $600) is a little cheaper, but does not perform quite as well and is a bit louder under heavy loads. Simple as that."

And for those complaining about shortage of GTX512s, I found you a Canadian retailer that ships to States and has them in stock as we speak...

yeah ok review but way to many error's I was surprised they even used the 5.11 Ati drivers, After I saw they screwed up the specs, I was expecting them to bench with like 5.7 Cats!

tell you something. i think that you should invest in the Radeon 7000 series. its the same gen as the geforce 7 series and is 7 thousand times better....why i am willing to bet that it will score a big fat zero in that game benchmark. making it the overall winner. tally bally ho. sport. what what.
