The following Links are from the Manufacturer. The items are at the Dollar Store.
edit: I was at the Dollar Store less than a month ago -- and these were NOT there -- so it may be new and rare shipment.

The gamepad is THIS
and it hooks in series with your keyboard.
I skimmed the manual, and it appears to be a gamepad shaped keyboard macro device.
Pretty interesting gadget for $1.

The joystick was THIS ONE.
It had the standard 15pin connector -- NOT USB -- otherwise I would have bought it.
I doubt it is worth the $15 retail price... but hard to complain at $1

This was at the Dollar Store in west Tacoma. They had a TON of the gamepads and only about 6 or so of the joysticks.

YMMV -- good luck

Yes. Walk in, take a left after the cash registers and they are at the closest end-cap of the farthest isle over -- or maybe the second to farthest.
There's a TON of the game-pads... you can't miss them.

I ended up getting the Joystick...

it comes with a win95 driver disk
install instructions for 98/2000/XP are HERE

the joystick also has a bunch of programmable buttons on it, and the cables are a funky interface -- including the standard 15pin joystick port (NOT USB), and also wired off that is a keyboard connector (to keyboard), and a keyboard connector (from keyboard). The keyboard adapters are each dual typed ps/2 and the old-style big keyboard connector. The keyboard adapters are for all the programmable buttons -- and it seems like a good way to go (manufacturing wisely speaking) versus having to have additional device drivers for all the various OS's. The button macros are switch selectable for up to 4 sets of macros.

The joystick feels less cheap than my first impression at the store -- although it in no way feels expensive -- and is quite amazing for $1.

The one on yakima by subway had em too. Along with a ton of Sonny Chiba and Bruce Lee dvds.

BTW, the place is great if you're looking for cheap crap for a kids halloween party.

Let's all start posting what we find in our local dollar stores. Then, if someone comes across a hot deal, we can buy a plane ticket to go to that dollar store and get in on the deal.

that is the stupidest idea ever, because the plane ticket would break the deal...
