Gamepad - Any recommendations?

What's a good gamepad to get for my system? I heard Saitek might be good and sony PS2 pad with adapter. BTW, for the latter, what kind of adapter would one require and where can you buy one?

I use the Nyko AirFlow controller... I really like it. It doesn't rumble, it's corded, but it works pretty decently.

I'm still looking for a controller that has true analog joysticks and buttons, so I'm interested in any suggestions that people might have.

I picked up a PS2 to USB adapter off Ebay for $12 shipped for my brother and it works very week. I think RadioShack also has them.

I have the Saitek P880 gamepad and its great. Basically the same layout as a PS2 controller and the buttons are all programmable. Highly recommended.

I also have an Nyko Airflow EX, but i lost my mapping software that comes with it.

Could someone send that to me or post the exe for me.

Nyko website has a really old version of it. Not like the full mapping software like i used to have.

Thanks in advance

Does it show up as a gamepad, with access to all axes and buttons in the properties dialog?

If so, I recommend trying Xpadder.

It's expensive, but I love the feel of the wireless Xbox 360 controller. 95% of new games have plug and play, while you can use an app called Xpadder for the hand full that won't work natively.

just pick up a used wired Xbox 360 controller from gamestop and you're all set.

That's what I was thinking. Especially since a lot of console ports these days have the button mappings build right in. Plus its a comfortable gamepad. I prefer the analog placement on the 360 controller over the PS3 style.

Even a lot that aren't ports have it.
