We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.
The article mentions the quality of visuals which I wasn't that impressed with. I thought the bigger issue would be what a blatant copy it is. I was skeptical at first because lots of shooters happen in the city, but you can't ignore those pink-purple tentacles. What a joke.
Crush the castle, and others, were out before Angry Birds. Cloning, or taking influence (even heavily), is just part of the cycle. Sometimes the minor improvements to an otherwise seemingly identical game can make all the difference in gameplay and marketing. Other times, companies just fall short of the mark. I can't blame them for trying, unless it is to simply cash in and they had zero ambition to try and improve on the game they are emulating.
Gameloft is the scummiest mobile developer in existence. I imagine their office as a dimly lit sweatshop, laborers hunched over their computers extracting art and audio assets from real games, switching evenly between their pirated Photoshop, modeling and programming software.
