GameLoft to offer almost all games for 99 cents

My rationale for that is I rarely play games on my phone.
If I do, it's either GameDevStory or GLWG.

Then you should just ignore the post if you have nothing positive to contribute. Your rationale is unimportant at this point since you don't game on your phone, because regardless if they were free or lower than .99, you still wouldn't download them.

If that's the case then that should apply to all threads.
No one should be allowed to contribute anything to RIMM/Blackberry threads unless it's a positive comment.
No one should be allowed to contribute anything to iOS threads unless it's a positive comment.
No one should be allowed to contribute anything to Android threads unless it's a positive comment.
No one should be allowed to contribute anything to WP7 threads unless it's a positive comment.

You're absolutely wrong on that statement. I bought all games that were on sale besides the sport ones during the recent Android market promo(Do a search for the thread).
All those "3D" Gameloft games that I got during the Android Market promo for 10 cents, I tried them but they got boring real fast.

He said positive contribution, not positive comment. They aren't the same thing. You can make a positive contribution to a thread without it being a JoyJoy statement.

Regardless, for 99 cents, GameLoft's games are a good bargain. There's a lot of people who do enjoy playing games on their tablets and/or phones. If you ask iPad owners, that seems to be all they do. 😛
 
Sweet. I played a few earlier this year on my vibrant. I tried them on my transformer several months ago and they didnt work but I was on HC 3.0. I am hoping that they will work on 3.2. I did dig that sparta game.
 
Are any of their games actually any good? I game on my phone, but the only actual mobile game I have is Reckless Getaway.
 
I'd gladly buy plenty of games from them, even at $5, but as far as I can tell there are only 6 games officially supported on the Transformer TF101.

Funny that people can crack/modify many of their games to run just fine on the Transformer. So I'm not giving Gameloft any $$ until they do the work themselves. Until then I'll dl the cracked versions.

Their website is also infuriating to find tablet games, had to use google.

I can understand this mentality because you're 16 and your parents are very generous by spoiling you with a $300 phone and $90 a month plan but one day you'll realize it's not worth it to pirate $0.99 and it's actually nice to pay people for their work.
 
Gameloft games worth having:

-Asphalt 3D (good racing game, good showoff title)
-Assassin's Creed (a friend I know loves it, so I am going on his word)
-Dungeon Hunter 1/2 (my 2nd favorite Gameloft game)
-Gangster (GTA ripoff)
-Hero of Sparta (fun platformer)
-Uno (especially for Kindle Fire)
-Backstab 3D (kinda an Uncharted ripoff but fun)
-Lets Golf 1/2/3 (favorite golf game and most played Gameloft game)
-Eternal Legacy (Best "real" RPG for mobile devices IMHO)
-Spider-Man: Total Mayhem (best platformer on mobile devices IMHO)
-The Settlers HD (strategy)
-Sacred Odyssey (good RPG for the WOW generation - I hate it)
-Shrek Kart (Mario Kart ripoff, great for kids)
-NOVA (Halo ripoff that plays well)

Plus they have some soldier simulators (Modern Combat, Brothers in Arms) for those who can't get enough of that genre on real consoles. I can't recommend these games because I avoid the entire genre because I think they ruined the video game industry.

1 Android user, with a history of iOS bias, on an Internet forum doesn't represent the Android user base. 😛

Gameloft is going to see a MASSIVE sales spike on the games for these sales.
