Interesting comparison video. Seems when overclocked to 1500MHz+ the GTX 970 holds it's own in this title. Not far behind the overclocked GTX 1060 (2100MHz) and RX 480 (1400Mhz+) in DX11/DX12.

1555mhz 970 is very fast. Not much slower than GTX1070 oc to 2100/9400(only 30-40% gap). You should watch his tests in more games.
That 1555mhz 970 is even faster than 2100Mhz GTX1060 in many games or they have similar performance.

Actually we didn't notice this earlier but Polaris, Hawaii and Fiji show almost 100% mGPU scaling in DX12 with dual gpu setups. No crossfire connectors are needed for that. That's a second game - the first was Deus Ex MD. If only all games would work like that.

Have we seen any games that have had great improvements from Async yet?

What do you define as "great improvements"?

I'd say extra 10% perf is pretty great.

Most games have 5-10% gain from it. It completely depends on how the engine is designed though as its a flag you set to tell the work what queue to go into

This game has a huge boost @ 4k, which is what we saw with AOTS getting a 20% fps boost @ 4k.

Sadly most places don't do much in depth testing anymore. Its often tested not at all, or only at single resolution (mostly 1080p).
