What i fell is that this game base on Multi Rendering and that can be the reason why AMD is struggling pretty much but i could be wrong.

There seems to be one notable card missing from the line up! (in the first post)

The OG Titan is benching 20% higher than the 209X, I didn't think that was typical? (second post 1st chart)

The problem is only AMD driver over head nothing more. Many people are with CF setup with this game.

What does this mean? Multiple Render Target?

I cannot check from here but I am curious what drivers were used. I know drivers 15.4 just came out with GTA V support. Unsure on how much, if any, performance improvement there was.

Surprisingly decent performance on AMD for a NV GameWorks title.

I was expecting a lot worse.

Also, as expected, the polish site makes AMD look even worse. 😉

It is not Nvidia title. It has some AMD features and Nvidia wont allow any AMD features on there Gameworks title.

Rockstar was neutral on this.

People used to say the same thing about ACU and Dying Light, it's all AMD driver overhead..

Until the developers made an official patch to fix performance on AMD. Look at the recent numbers, it's pretty good. 😵

GW titles in the past run like a dirty dog on AMD until months later with official updates.

This is why I was expecting it to be very bad with GTA V (also broken CF), glad its not too horrible, R290X = 970 with great CF scaling. I'll take it, kudos to Rockstar! Will buy now.

Yup but plz dont say this gameworks game and it is not.

PClab needs to check their systems. OS reinstall on amd machine is clearly needed. 😀
Why people read this site is beyond me. No other website have anything remotely close to the numbers from pclab.

I thought it was, from articles last year & early this year, but a quick research showed Rockstar did not sign exclusive GameWorks, they worked with both AMD & NV to implement some vendor specific features and even label it as such..

What a good developer, compared to Ubifail. 😵

But you see i told u that AMD has problems with huge world games and which cause bottleneck but i am glad CF is working nice.

What problems? 1600p R290X = 970, that's fine. R290X is ~10% within 980 overall so its not that far off.

Plus, the open world of Watch Dogs and ACU being a problem for AMD was because of ubifail, which they eventual fixed with patches. So it wasn't an AMD problem to start with. Same for Dying Light! The only problem is with bad developers and/or exclusive GameWorks.

It has u did not look at 1080p and 1440p benchmark?

Nice multithreading engine, a few patches/drivers and game performance should be fine for both AMD/NVIDIA with lower hardware.

Looks fine to me, unless you want to trust PClab.pl.

I'm reading on Reddit & OCN, Radeons are performing fine, CF scales great.

Game is very nicely threaded and release without massive bugs with good performance on both vendors. Not much more you could ask for since the game was designed for consoles originally. Rockstar has earnt respect by giving PC gamers plenty of options, heaps of extra IQ that consoles lack.

Uh... huh. I guess upgrading to the 970 was a good choice. ._. With an i5, it would be even worse than what's in that graph, so 'd be playing at med-low settings on my 7950 to get 60FPS...
