Gamefly

seems a bit expensive though, compared to say netflix.

isn't there another one called games n flicks or something like that? how are they? too bad netflix doesn't do games also.

It is o.k. at best till the freakin usps loses a game, they just stop service and tell ya too bad your game never came back...

Still when I was active all the good games have a wait period and then it can take forever on some deliveries and the total oppisite on others, just goofy.

Go elsewhere and no I did not keep the game as I know someone will say it...😛

i think i'm just going to rent from blockbuster if they have any.
there's one like 15 minutes from my house and one on my way to and from work.

how long do you get to keep blockbuster games? i never rented from blockbuster before.

I think it's 5.5 days now. They need them back by noon so you dont get the full 6th day.

I had it for a few months. More for my son than anything. It was ok, but it took forever to get the games. I think it was 3-4 days just in shipping time. I wasn't impressed.

I'd like to try some Wii games, but is the turnaround time slow?

Do they have a free month? Might try to find a deal or promo. My turn around times were slow, but I think it's because they only shipped out of CA. It may depend on where you live or where they ship from.

It's 5 days but you can keep the game another 7 days before they charge your card for the game. I typically rent games out and return them the on the 11th or 12th day.

I had Gamefly and had decent luck. I usually had 2 new games each week. I dropped it over the summer though since I rarely played games then.

I had the same problem. Im not sure where the games were getting lost, but about every other game was "lost" somewhere between me and the Gamefly center.

The first one lost, I put it in my mailbox ( enclosed, but not lockable) at home.

The second one lost, I mailed from work ( put it in with the company mail, buried under a couple letters so passerbys wouldnt see it.)
The third one lost, I purposly drove down to the post office, and put it in the mail slot.

After that, I canceled my service. GF didnt try to make me pay for any of them, but I knew the pattern couldnt continue like that much longer before they did.

I also had netflix for about a year and a half, return mailed from my house and office and I never lost 1 movie. I think the games are just too valueable + pass through too many hands between point A & B.

Other than that, the service was ok.. I never had to wait too long for a game, but this was also back when XB360 first came out. I dont think many people had it at the time.

I am signed up for Gamefly 2 out at a time as well as gameznflix.com 1 out at a time.

Gamefly:

Pros:
YOu can get new games pretty much right away

Much better website than gameznflix.com

If you decide to keep a game, the prices are pretty good.

cons:
depending on where you live, it could take a week to 2 weeks to get a new game. I live in northern VA and it normally takes at least a week to get a game.

gamefly also tends to have their games lost in USPS... i've lost 1 but they just shipped out my next game no problems. I've reported a total of 3 lost, but 2 others showed up like 3 weeks late.

expensive

gameznflix:

pros:
More warehouses, faster shipping/turnaround times.

Cheaper prices

cons:
harder to get newer games right away

website sucks compared to gamefly

packaging sucks, in order to get games open I always end up having to destroy the envelope. I also don't like the fact that they label the name of the game on the outside of the envelope.

I am probably going to switch over totally to gameznflix, I just have 15 gamefly bucks to spend before I cancel gamefly. ihave a few games that I have bought now, and haven't been playing the games I have from gamefly/gameznflix yet.

How is http://www.gameznflix.com? It's $250 per year for 6 items out at a time which is pretty much what I'm paying netflix now for 3 items out at a time.

Wow, that looks like a good deal (I'd do the 3 out at a time plan for $16.99 a month). Where do they ship from? Anyone want to send me a referral?

I get most of mine from Gaithersburg, MD.

Edit: I also have gotten one from Franklin, KY.

ALL gamefly games come from the california.

i saw in one thread that wii games cost $8 to rent from blockbuster and you only get to keep them 5 days.

one of these other places seem like a better deal by a long shot.

It takes forever to get new games from Gameznflix. That's why I went back to gamefly, even though gameznflix has a warehouse 30 mins away from me.

On second thought... i may have to go back to gameznflix anyways. I find a 25% off coupon for their monthly plans, so I can get 2 out at a time for 9.75 a month!
