I think Xbox and PS2 attract the more adult and upwardly mobile crowd who

The GC price decrease is a
necessary ploy to get the consoles out there so more software developers don't abandon the console altogether, as they are
already doing.
Heck, Max Payne 2 not coming out for the GC on Dec 5 (vs Xbox, PS2)irks me! How can Nintendo not make a huge fight to get it for their console?! It's one of the best games out there right now.
This further shows you that Nintendo management has their head up their collective a$$es!
After a short-term sales spurt, I don't see Nintendo going anywhere with this price decrease.
If you've ever run mathematical sales models, you'll see a price decrease of this nature is a VERY RISKY and DEPERATE MANEUVER. YES DESPERATE. Unfortunately.
The GC's demise is near folks. Again, unfortunately!
