I just wanted to say I got a game cube for myself on my 24th birthday and boy am I happy with it from resident evil, supermario sunshine and metroid . It is great stuff. I can not wait till legend of zelda comes out. I am reliving gaming nostalgia with 100 times better graphics. What do you guys think of the gamecube? anyone else have one?

I have one and I like it. The controller isn't to my liking though, especially the twitchy as hell analogue stick. But there are some great games for it. Eternal Darkness is a must buy if you have a gamecube :)

My boys absolutely love it...

I think it's only "ok", but I'm not really into the Mario and Zelda games. With the exception of Resident Evil: Zero and Star Wars, there's really nothing on the GC that interests me.

Theres nothing on the GC that interests me period. I loved Zelda for N64 but since they gave it a whole new look I don't think it will do much for me.

I haven't had a Cube for long, but I think it's great so far!

I really like Pikmin. It's like a trip to Bizzarro world !

its a great system and i beat metroid prime at around 80% (got to see samus take off her helmet:) ) but one thing that troubles me is that the controller isn't designed for capcom fighting games (no 6 button layout).

I've been debating Xbox or Cube. I have a PS2, and leaning towards an xbox, but a cube is tempting too. gah!

I personally find the graphics on PS2 pretty crappy.

I love my GameCube. Tomorrow I'll buy Metroid Prime and maybe FIFA 2003 as well. :D

i'm seriously thinking of getting a GC, and there's lots of Hot Deals threads on it, but it's so much information. Can someone tell me what is the best deal?

I don't know much about the latest deals since I got mine in the summer, but I will give you a tip:
- Get a big memory card, preferrably the 251 (I think) slot one. You will easily use up the 50-something one after you get a couple of games.

Otherwise you will eventually buy a bigger memory card and the smaller one will serve as a backup, since many games don't read off Slot B.

Also, if you don't mind the lack of rumble, get the Wavebird controller. My living room looks SOOOOO MUCH cleaner.

Gamecube ROCKS for a multiplayer setting. Mario Party 4 and Super Monkey Ball 1/2 are just CRAZY with 4 people.

Oh, not to mention all those sweet single player games (Metroid (DUH!), Mario, Starfox, Pikmin, Resident Evil, etc etc etc etc)
