Nintendo executives have vowed they won't enter the market behind competitors, as happened with the current generation of consoles, meaning details on a new Nintendo console could come as early as next year, Pidgeon said. "They may announce sooner than Microsoft or PlayStation," he said.

I have been waiting for them to drop. I just curious what MS and Sony are going to do with thier prices. I have been holding out for the price drops. I may just have to get a Gamecube now that the price is looking better 🙂

EBGames finally officially dropped to $99 and still have a $30 EB voucher (ends October 4!) when you buy a GC (new or preowned) with a $20+ accessory and $30+ game. Here's what I'm thinking of getting:

GC - $99.99
Mario Sunshine - $29.99
Memory Card - $19.99

Total = 149.97 - $30 EB voucher

Shipping is only $2.99 (5-10 days) up to $9.99 (1 day)

I remember when Dreamcasts dropped to $99, a few months later they went EOL.

Great system, but not alot of great games for mature gamers. I have only thouroughly played metroid and zelda. I would like some better games

Resident Evil series, P.N. 03, Soul Calibur 2, F-Zero GX, Ikaruga, Time Splitters 2, numerous sports titles, and many more is not enough for you? 😛 BTW, some of the "kiddy" games like Super Mario Sunshine are pretty fun for us "old timers" too.

they team up with ATI for the next upcoming console, not gamecube.
