Lately, my kid's gamecube was not recognizing any of the 3 controllers. Sometimes they would work and sometimes they would not. Last night I got 2 of them to be recognized, but still couldn't get all three.
One of the things I notice on all three controllers plugs and in the port holes on the system itself is a bluish residue that seemed to be melted/burned on to the small metal conductors. Is it normal to have that residue there? Is it the reason the controllers are not always being recognized or responding correctly? Can I clean it off and, if so, with what?
Any help is appreciated, as I would hate to have to replace the whole system.
