Gamecube console help

I have been playign my gamecube and I have many games I have been playing the simpsons games godzilla mario games and burnout.
I went to play need for speed and it gets to the start menu I press start then it says it cant read the disc.
I looked at the disc and it is in Mint Condition! All my other discs are scratched to pieces and my godzilla even has a small crack and it still works with no problems. Does anybody know why? Is it the gamecube or the disc? Or maybe the games from a diffrent region?
Anyone who can help I would appreciate it thanks 😀

where did you get the game? maybe it's the wrong region?

i heard that later gamecubes didnt have the most reliable laser.

where did you get the game? maybe it's the wrong region?

Sounds like a bad/incompatible disc. Your other games still work, right?
