I wonder what they would do for the gameboy SP price. It doesn't make sence to have that the same price at the Game Cube.

I'm wondering that as well...I kind of want to snag one of the red GBASP's, but I might have to wait until October or so and see if we get a price drop...😀

i own the xb, ps2 and gc. The xb and ps2 are uhmm enhanced.

With all that, the gc winds up being used the most in our house.

The gc is a diamond in the rough, and its 480p output trounces the ps2. (on a samsung hd 27in)

pls note, not a nintendo fanboy, i just think for the price gc is fantastic.

Nintendo has such a monopoly on the handheld market, I wouldn't be suprised if the price stayed the same.

I've been waiting for a deal on this to jump on. For $99 I think I will pick one up. I played this anti gravity racing game, F-Zero I think, at my friends house and it was awesome. I also saw when I was at BB that there's some sort of pre-order disc you can get with the new Star Wars game that has demos movies, and full classic star wars games on it. sounds good

This seems pretty darn hot. Do you think it would be possible to buy it now @149.99 with free game promotion, and then later price adjust to 99.99 to get $50.00 back? That would result in paying net $99.99 for gamecube and free game!

Thanks,
D.

It's a possibility if you time it right. If your receipt shows just the GC (and then the games as separate line items) and you're within the window of price adjustment (usually 14 days, up to 30 or so)

Which stores support this kind of PM'ing so to speak?

Best Buy also has a 30-day price guarantee.

Since these two stores offer a 110% price match within 30 days, you may be able to buy it at $149.99, then PM it to the $99.99, and get an extra 10% (or $5.00) off for a total price of $94.99.

Might sound silly but which of these do the best at playing DVDs? I'm looking to add one to my truck but want to play DVDs also.

Thanks

Well since the GameCube doesn't play Movie DVD's at all, it could be considered the worst. SOmeone else will have to chime in with the difference between the XBox and PS2.

Yea, that really wasn't a well worked question. I guess I knew the xbox and ps2 would do DVDs but wasn't sure about the gamecube. Yea, now which of those two is better. Seems like a lot of people lean torwards the xbox.

PS2's DVD player has no advanced features (Zoom, multi-speed fast forward, etc). The Xbox has basically all the features that PowerDVD does.

Ok obth Xbox and PS2 suck for DVD Players! I've got a collection of 400+ DVD's and theres alot that don't play right in these systems. You can spend $99 and get a better dvd player then what comes with PS2 or XBOX. BTW my favorites are GC, XBOX then PS2. PS2 just looks grainy to me!

PS2 dvd playback is really crappy... similar to a $50 Apex... it plays the dvd's but the picture quality is poor.

Gamecube has the best WIRELESS controller ever released...
