This deal is far from being dead! I picked one up last night at CC and was very surprised when the CSR was shcoked at the low price. He asked me if he could run off copies! I ended up walking out of the store with a brand new black Gamecube and Metroid prime for 72 bucks! If anyone is interested in this deal but thought it was dead CC will honor those printouts (I guess it's somewhat YMMV, you probably need an FAO in your area). This CSR was very helpful and had no problem pricematching and letting me get in on the free game deal (well, it actually cost one cent). So print it out and try it at CC!

No FAO in my state. Just called my local Circuit City, CSR told me to come tomorrow when manager comes in late. Manager does match the price, but manager will not honor the free game...

 
Im thinkin of driving down to Orlando later today to pick one up.... Hmmmm, homework or gamecube?
 
FAO Schwarz is almost bankrupt from what i read not too long ago, this price could be a series of markdowns to clear inventory-raise cash. They havent officially filled for bankruptcy, who knows 🙂

Why not? I've BVG pricematched a couple of things that were out of stock, and at least two items that were definitely mis-priced. This should fly.

Yeah I read the Pricematching policies for both BB and CC. CC would be more likely to allow it.

I've got an FAO about 30minutes away...tough call.

No I did it in NYC and got it at CC. IT was a struggle and argument but I ended up taking 3 when tehy told me that I could do it. Haha I beat the system.

That's what I want to know. I recently bought an Xbox and I want to get a Gamecube as well. If my CC will PM this, then There's no way I'm going to pass it up.
 
Nintendo recommended me to them once when I was looking for retailers that carried something. I had a good laugh at their Nintendo product pricing a long time ago! 🙂

I live in Maryland (Annapolis) and went to the local BB and CC with a printout.

BB said no way.

CC said they'd do it...called up FAO and they were OOS. They wouldn't honor it since FAO was OOS. doh! so close...
 
if any of the guys would post a copy of their recipt, highlighting out their credit card info or have paid in cash. THen everybody would be able to get this around $70. Last year I did a PM at circuit city at circuit ciy with a recipt from a freind out of state and they accepted it.

I tried to PM it with CC and they denied it due to FAO being outside of a 20 mile radias from me. I then tried to do it as a Internet PM but they shot me down because they would only PM the big names - Amazon, Sears, Best Buy etc.

I figured fair enough. I already have a sweet deal from CC from Friday - Sunshine Gamecube + Metroid for free.
