Game won't play on Xbox

Rented these 2 games from an online rental place. Discs look fine, no scratches or anything. Neither of them, however, will play....at all. Game doesn't load, can't copy the game to my HDD, nothin'. Counterstrike worked just fine, but these two (which happen to be the ones I wanna play the most) are the ones that don't work at all.....any ideas? =/
 
Could be your BIOS or dash. Try launching from a different dash. I've seen games that wouldn't boot from one dash, but worked from another. If you can get it to successfully launch once from a different dash you may then be able to get it to launch from your default dash from then on (I've seen this happen many times). Also, try booting the XBox with the disc in the system and see what happens. Finally, look in your game saves for those two games and then any saves that may exist and then try to launch the game again.

[edit] Oh yeah, and check any settings that are related to regions in your dash. For example, I think EvoX has one setting called 'Auto' and another for NTSC. Change it to the other one and try the game again. In XBMC there is a setting to automatically switch to 50 Hz for PAL games, make sure that is disabled.
