Xile's wastland 2

south park (maybe)
metrolight (maybe)

The maybe is that while I expect good things it is too early to tell for sure....

South Park Stick of Truth
Grim Dawn
War for the Overworld
Wasteland 2
Shadowrun Returns
Carmageddon: Reincarnation

The sad part is that it is somewhat questionable if any of these will actually ship this year.

SimCity ...the new engine and mechanics look really great.
Metro ....More of the same, but it was an awesome same to begin with.
TombRaider...Looks more like an emphasis on survival and story, perhaps notes taken from Uncharted series
Devil may cry...reboot done from the guys at Ninja Theory? how bad could it be
Battlefield...whatever side step they take with this...i hope it's like BF 2043
Crysis 3..no one admits it on a want list, but what the hell right? Tech demo's are fun.

I'm really hopeing Thief 4 comes out.

oh yes, Planetary Annihilation as well! That will be nice because i will be able to play it on and off and enjoy it since there is no campaign.

The PC Gamer and RPS 2013 lists seem to neglect what would possibly be the best hack n slash of 2013... Path of Exile.

They also appear to miss Hawken and MechWarrior Online... despite both being in open beta and likely to 'launch' officially in 2013.

Path of Exile is going into Open Beta not really a official release yet.

As for my list of must have games for 2013:

Metro: Last Light
Bioshock: Infinite
Grim Dawn
GTA V
The Last of Us (PS3)
Dead Space 3

Looks like a good year for me so far. I also have a huge backlog left so it should tide me over pretty well.

Actually I left off my #1 pick; the new divinity game: original sin. Not my #1 but they are also release dragon commander.

Pretty much just Bioshock. There's plenty I'll probably end up playing, but that's the only one that I'm actively looking forward to and will probably have at release. I'm going to try and not jump on so many games on release this year, especially the single player focused ones like GTA5.

Definitely TW Rome 2... that one is going to be epic.

But, other than that... I'm not sure. I'll buy a few games released in 2012 that I missed, but I'm not exactly looking for many this year, although some might be announced for release this year that we're not aware of at the moment. So, time will tell, but for now only Rome 2 grabs my attention.

Tomb Raider (even though it looks like a QTE fest so far 🙁 )

Thanks, scratched that game off my list...can't stand QTE.

Bioshock Infinite
CoH2
Indie Games

Simcity is looking like a Railroads! quality game... demo before I decide on purchase.

Indie Games... the absolutely best gaming experiences I've had this year; hoping for another great crop in 2013.

LoL God I hope not... it has been too long since we had a nice real Sim City game!

Railroads was like the toy game I let my nephew play while I do some serious railroad building on Railroad Tycoon 3 🙂

BF4
Crysis 3
The new C&C Generals or whatever they are calling it

Hopefully a few pleasant surprises along the way as well.

If it's going Open Beta in January, it sounds reasonable that it may launch this year 🙂

They are a small developer so I wouldn't expect them to release by the end of the year. They have been in closed beta for a long time.

I did a beta weekend for Path of Exile...
AND i must say.
I was not very impressed. Some may like it.
I also thought I wasted money on Diablo 3, but did like Torchlight 2.
Just MHO... game is kinda crappy.
