Game Theory

Just a random question. How would one set up an experiment to 'test' the outcomes of game theory in real life situations? Just a thought that is buggin' me.

Well i was thinking about creating certain situations in which two groups would experiance. One would make decitions based on game theory and the other would do it based on instict. I'm just curious to see which out come is more favorable except i have no idea how to set it up! I don't know if the words are coming out right...

You set up a game tree of all possible moves and "evaluate" a position based on what criteria you think are best to pick the best one.

At least, this is what I think you are trying to say. You need some practice at your explainations.

ah crap. i thought this was gonna be about the roots next album (it shares the same title as your topic, and comes out august 2005)... n/m!

When presented with two ways, I always go left first. Inspired by dungeons from video games so I wouldn't forget which way I went first.

Is that what you're talking about?

somewhat. But you go left out of conditioning I want to be like 'i'm going left because if i go right the potential outcome is not as favorable' or something like that.

It would be a stretch on the variable, but creating a mock up of a game with a certain situation and recreating the situation in real life (as in the "which way will I turn) thing would probably give a a decent idea.

Aside from that... why do you care? 😉

You mean, like, one group would call the police and evacuate while the other group would spawn camp, wall hack, then defuse the bomb?

not exactly TheLonelyPhoenix has the right idea
