Game Theater Digital i/o Question.

Has anyone with a GTXP (Or audigy I guess) used the digital connections with such devices as: a minidisc, DAT, ADAT, or any other digital devices? I know the digital connections are usually used for connections to surround recievers.

How easy is it to record digital audio? Oh yeah, if anyone has ever used an adat, can you record all 8 tracks at the same time? I know these are a lot of questions, but I haven't been able to find anything on hercules's website.

ah, so here's why you need the breakout box.

Sorry I can't help you there, but I do know that if you connect a decoder using the optical or coaxial connections, you won't get surround sound (in most instances, only stereo sound).

i use the fortissimo II's optical out to my minidisc, works fine, including the auto start and stop on the detection of data coming through the cable.
