Game server rentals

Hello folks,

I was looking to rent a server for TF2 primarily and was wondering if you guys could recommend any hosting companies. So far it seems like www.gameservers.com is a decent site but they only allow for 26 players and I was hoping for 32.

Also, I've seen in a few user's signatures around here that they rent servers, they didn't really list what kind, but alas I can't recall those users names. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the time 🙂

I don't think there's any company that rents out 32 slot TF2 servers. All the 32 slot servers are run on dedicated boxes.

i think most are web hosting, not game servers.

I think you may be right, while I was searching for game server threads here I found a couple but they were very old posts.

That would probably explain why the only site I found 'gameservers.com' used to have 32 slots, but no longer offer them unless dedicated.

I use them for my 8 player L4D server. Texass server.

I've used artofwarcentral.com quite a bit, and they're great. You have absolute control over your server, they have a great interface/control panel, and support is very fast. I've been quite pleased with them over the years.

I've had crap luck with there servers....high pings for some reason, but on other's in the same city I get phenomenal pings.

velocity is pretty good imo.

We use NFO for CS:S (and formerly for TF2). They go directly through InterNAP so pings are usually very good nationwide. It's pricey, so if you're running a stock server config then it's probably not worth it. But if you're looking for stability and extras they're the way to go.
