Game Server question.

Given the choice of the 2, What MS operating system is best to run your dedicated game server (particularly BF1942).
XP? or Server 2003? Or would it even make a difference...?

The price of Win2K3 would seem to make it a bad choice for a game server.

Doubtful that you have the hardware that would utilize 2k3 more effectively....stick with XP and tweak the hell out of it.

Excepting the Linux option, it wont matter very much - except perhaps one might use up less memory, though thats likely only all that significant to server farms who need to squeeze everything to absolute minimal cost per player slot.
