Game recommendations

I'm building a new system after 6 years and well, I haven't purchased a computer game in probably 3-4. I have a decent amount of Xbox 360 games that have ports like Oblivion, Fallout3, Gears of War, GTA, COD2-4 and so on.

My main focus would be on FPS, adventure, rts, and roleplaying. To begin I'm thinking:

Bioshock
Crysis ?? which version
Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is an awesome game. Definite must buy. Bioshock was a good game. Not as good as everyone made it out to be but I'd recommend anyone to play it. I still haven't played Crysis so can't comment.

The Orange Box. STALKER. Bioshock was fun. Company of Heroes is fun, and if you enjoy it, get Dawn of War. I recently got the Stronghold games off of Good Old Games and played the crap out of them. LucasArts just put a bunch of their old and older games up on Steam, along with the Secret of Monkey Island remake and Tales of Monkey Island.

i have a ton of pc games and everything new to the market and i must say that every crysis is pure trash. crysis warhead was so short it wasnt even worth playing.

right now im playing through bionic commando and its not very good sounds really stupid but i am liking call of juarez: bound in blood and trine. I liked bioshock alot and CoD world at war was sick.

Both Crysis and Warhead are very good games, but I'd say that the original's single player is a bit better. Get Warhead if you want multiplayer, because I'm pretty sure the mp community for the original is dead by now, since it wasn't very lively to begin with. You can't go wrong with either if you like PC fps games.

I think everybody on earth should try the game, Conflict!! its a army kind of game. I know im a girl, but man do i LOVE video games

but that game is on PS3... another sweet game is Call Of Duty world at war!!! I have it on WII and I beat the whole game

For RTS definitely go with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, along with its three expansion packs, and yes I also recommend Company of Heroes, and both of them were developed by Relic, with a very similar resources system (technically Dawn of War is the catalyst of that resources system, which is being used to a slightly different extent in Company of Heroes and Dawn of War 2 as well).

For FPS I would go with both S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, the first being Shadow of Chernobyl and its prequel (but released in second) being Clear Sky (events of CS are occurring one year prior to the events of Shadow of Chernobyl, so you could even start playing with Clear Sky instead). I also recommend the entire Half-Life saga, perhaps starting with Half-Life 2 since there's a good chance that you've already played the original, but if not then I would highly recommend it, along with all other subsequent releases prior to H-L 2, such as Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

For RPG/Adventure (and action as well) I would recommend Mass Effect (you've probably played it on your XBOX 360 though).

Another vote for Company of Heroes. I would say it and Dawn of War II are the most popular RTS games right now.

Company of Heroes, Team Fortress 2. Im halfway through Crysis and its OK so far. NBA 2K9 is one of the best sports game Ive played, better on console. And finally COD: WAW, which was pretty fun and I like better than COD4.

Crysis as a game is mediocere, it's decent but not amazing. I would get it if you have a powerful enough system to play on high detail just to oogle how much better the graphics are than the 360 🙂.

Highly recommend The Orange Box (and HL2 if you haven't played it yet) and Mass Effect.

cod4, doomIII, crysis warhead, farcry, farcry2, stalker, stalker clearsky, hl2 ep2, portal, prototype, mass effect, l4d, l4d2, gtaIV, bionic commando, and of course....

Modern warfare 2! 🙂

edit: forgot bioshok was awesome too.
