Hi,

Last I played on PC, it was the age of DOS games like Dangerous Dave, Prince of Persia etc. Now I've the time and setup to try some new generation PC games. My rig runs a stock E2160, 2x1 GB DDR2-800, EVGA 7600GT, 500+GB disk space, Win XP Pro. I'm looking for game recommendations that my rig can handle. I like racing and FPS genres. Among the popular ones, I dug up;

NFS Most Wanted
COD2 or COD4 ?

Any more interesting ones out there? Thanks.
EDIT: Please exclude online games, can't use much with existing monthly bandwidth limits.

Some of my favourites that will play well on your rig:

Half-LIfe 2 (plus episode 1 & 2)
Team Fortress 2
Hitman 2
Deus Ex
FarCry

All the ones mentioned above are great games. Here are a few more I loved:

Hitman Blood Money
F.E.A.R.
Max Payne
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Splinter Cell 1,2 and 3 > (if you like stealth games)
CoD 4

GTR2 will run great on your pc .

Grid and Dirt are really fun but will not run well on your setup. (if you turn all the effects down it might. it ran horrible on 6800gt)

Whatever you do, get the Orange Box. It includes Halflife 2 (+ episodes 1 and 2), and also Portal which is the coolest and most original game I've played in a long time.

Thanks guys, it's time to go explore. Is my box good enough for COD4? (thought I'll start with that).

I wouldn't run it with you box. If you do, it'll probably be 800x600 or 1280x760

I think for the cost of a few games you could upgrade the 7600 GT (kick ass card in it's day) and have a lot more options, as long as your PSU allows it.

Yup, lower the resolution and settings (graphics) and you should be able to run CoD 4. I actually ran it once on my old P4 system with a 7300gt card and had to lower the settings all the way down to get playable frame-rates.
