Eve? From what I've read you can go on a European vacation and just leave the game running without issue.

It all depends on what you are doing. If you are playing the market, then you can walk away at any time. If you are running a mission in highsec with a low cost Domi using drones (I know this is very specific, but is kind of has to be for this example), then you can walk away for a while.

If you are flying around in low sec space, or in any danger of getting into a fight, you cannot walk away from the computer. Pretty much, you need to either be docked or cloaked to be AFK safely.

What people are saying is that you have AFK activities (liked POS mining, PI, market trading, or just plain skill training) that you can do in the game. I can be logged on and only come and play once in a while, but I have to be docked at a station to do that.

Why does it have to be running 24/7 to meet your gaming needs? This makes no sense at all.

i never said it had to be running 24/7. you didn't read my post explaining why i am asking for these recommendation...

Games where I have to pause or hit escape are probably going to be more involved than what I am looking for.
