My friend has some problems with being kicked out to desktop whenever he plays games for a minute. He has a Asus A7v8x, MSI Geforce 3 ti200 128mb, 512mb pc2700, 350w psu(I checked voltages and everything was above where they should had been), winXP Pro. He just gets randomly booted to desktop. He's used the 40.92 then the newest ones and now he's using the drivers that are on Windows Update...any ideas?
 
my cousin gets that too. playing counter-strike, then game minimizes to desktop. heh
i dont know how prevent that. doesnt happen to me.
 
sounds like memory

try running memtest86 for 10 passes (about 4 hours)
If you have errors ... set mem timings to default.

run the test again
If you still have errors ... bump the voltage up for the mem

run the test again
