Game-playing without original disc

Does anyone know how to store the info from the original game disk (perhaps copying the entire disc on a new drive partition) that would allow me to play without needing to insert the original disc? The particular game in mind is Chessmaster 7000 (which I do legally own, btw).

Thanks

There is a way but I'm not sure how the mods will take it, although it's not even remotely illegal in itself. They're fairly strict on this kind of info. PM me if you want the details.

theres always cracks

To elaborate, they are called "no cd patches." But those only work if the installer installs all the necessary files onto the hard drive including movies, sounds, etc.

And they are usually game Patch revision number specific. You can try GCW
