Do any SC players use gamepads here? I've always been fine with my regular keyboard, but the layout for SC just feels terrible and awkward. I'm thinking about investing in a cheap gamepad to try to put the arrow keys in my left hand, and I'm wondering if anybody here has tried these out. Here's a couple of options:

Only $20

This one looks pretty sweet, but it's $75:

Obviously it would double as a regular keyboard too.

TIA

I think it would just be better to remap the keys or something.
I dont know why Supreme Commander would be a problem for you when everything else is fine.
Just about every realtime strategy and turn-based strategy game uses the arrow keys for movement and the WASD keys for something else.
A is normally attack, for example.

I have an MS Strategic Commander and it seemed OK at first until I realized the keyboard is actually better.

If you insist on using something different, I recommend the Belkin.

NOTE:
In both product reviews the people said they were a little big and not well suited for small hands.
I dont know if thats an issue for you, but it would be for me.

Download the SCA UI mod from the vault... It lets you remap any function to any key. Free is a lot cheaper than a game pad.

I dunno about you, but SupCom and FA control fine for me.
