I've heard of them, but they don't really make any game I'd personally consider GOTY quality. I did hear The Walking Dead mentioned a ton of times in the news, but never the studio. It's not like games put the publisher in the title. You don't see every BF4 story start with "ELECTRONIC ART'S BATTLEFIELD 4" do you? they simply say it once or twice in the article. It took me a few seconds to go "Doh!" and remember Sam & Max was from them. I'm just not a huge fan on interactive storytelling in games is all. I was hoping for this to be anything but storytelling, actually.
And this has already been said as well. GoT excels in the intrigue between people, the backstabbing, the shaky alliances, the people moving in the shadows, etc.
Never the action. The action is stuff mandated by the personal dramas. TellTale is a perfect fit. The question is whether they can keep up the great work they've been doing lately.
I also said "studio and publisher." You conveniently forgot about the studio part. Telltale is the studio, and they happen to self-publish digitally. And it was always DICE's BF4 published by EA. I'm starting to wonder what kind of gaming news you claim to read. It sounds more and more like bylines in Yahoo Entertainment.
