Hay, i was wondering if anyone knew of any, not just game, but all progys, a progy that creats a no cd crack. Cause i am finding it hard then **** to make cd cracks manually.. Can someone give some suggestions?

how about pay for a copy of the game
im not going to help or advise, and most other people wont for the most part; considering the high chances what youre doing is illegal

if its not something illegal...play with the original like the rest of us do. and welcome to AT

Is it that hard to put your CD in whenever you use your software?

By the way, even if you're doing something legal with this stuff, no one's going to believe that since you've got a post count of one.

I've run into games that will install fine but when you run the games they somehow can't find the CD in the drive. It could be a conflict between the copy protection scheme and my specific CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives. Either way I have no choice but to download and install a "fix" for these titles.

I use No-cds because I realy get tired of searching for my game discs.

Wow, you mean that you judge a person's morality based on their post count? :Q

Oh well, in that case, I am holier than thou.

I've had that problem (and solution) a couple of times too. Of course you could always just call the game company, but I usually don't see why I should go through all of that trouble.

ok....... for all you ppl out there who assume just becasue i said "i need a no cd hack" i dont own the cd...... your wrong, to put it lightly, i own all the cds i wont to crack, and their all legal cds, not burned, but i hate having to move discs around, like in Myst, there are 4 cds, and it would be nic e not to have to move a cd in and out of the cdrom every 5 minutes as u move across the map. I was just looking for a progy that maybe would explain the process, god what the chances of that based on the reaction here, or either gives a process which you configure a no cd crack. I was just wondering if anyone could help me, due to the small number of cd crack there has to be at LEAST 1 person.

I've given up on downloading the cracks, I end up getting virii and all sorts of good stuff. Lately I found that it's easier making a disk image with Alcohol 120%. Mount the images to a virtual drive, and bingo, problem solved. I've had a number of cheap drives that refuse to pass copy-protection schemes for game startups.

Ah look in the fileforums from the link above you if you haven't, I remember seeing a sticky about this topic there. It would be more trouble then it's worth IMO to make your own though. I'd stick with using Alcohol 120%'s virtual drive.

I hear some new games won't play if you have certain CDRW drives, or have Alcohol 120% installed. I hear EA's are the worst. Thus the need for no-CD patches. So many here are so quick to assume. Anyone else noticed people jump on the chance to call others losers and to tell them to 'go buy software like the rest of us'? Is this supposed to be a l33t thing to do? I'm willing to bet a majority of the name callers have used at least one crack, illegal software copy, or illegal MP3 themselves.
