I've had problems with game freezes, yet other intensive stuff it doesn't freeze.

If it happens it happens only in games, Im thinking its the video card

3dmark 2001 a good test in showing video card stabilitiy?


it couldn't be the actual system ram could it ? cause toherwise id get crashes in other stuff rather then just in games.

whats the problem?

please help =(

You need to give a little more info on your system specs,
(OS, Motherboard make, CPU, Ram, PSU etc.) if you want
the people here to help you out.

As for crashes in games only, they are much more intense on the CPU
and video than most APPLICATIONS would be (less 3D rendering apps).
 
I have a

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
512k DDR
Windows XP
MSI KT3 Ultra2
300W Power Supply

Yeah they are cpu intensive but I ran this cpu tester program, when you run it, it uses 100% cpu usage to check stability, and I NEVER had a crash through using that...

Anyways in 1 game I could hardly get past the first area of the game. I had an idea and I took the video card out and reinserted it..Ive played that same game now for like 1 hour and hasent crashed.

Maybe that solved the problem?? Video card wasent in properly or something??
