Bought the MSI 9800Pro on Newegg that comes with the nice game bundle. I didn't really get into gaming very much until Far Cry (though I went through a phase with Soldier of Fortune II where I played all the time) and Doom3 is the last game I've played/beat.

Just out of curiosity, as I wait for HL2, are any of the following games I received really good? If so, can you describe them?

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project
2 Morrowmind CD's (never heard of this game before)

And I also got some 7 in 1 CD with several games on it. One of them is a Serious Sam extension.

Just don't have much to play now but I'm picky with games. Loved Far Cry, SoFII, hated Painkiller, enjoyed D3, etc. Any of the above good/fun?

This is what I got:

Ghost Recon is good if you like tactical, squad-based FPS action. Morrowind is an open-ended RPG with a huge world where you can do pretty much anything you want.

I'm not sure what to make of the Serious Sam extension. Are you referring to Serious Sam: The 2nd Encounter?

Serious Sam Blows. Ghost Recon, Morrowind and Duke: Manhattan are all fun.

Fixed. :D

Nahh, the SS series was good, but I did find it too repetitive. I played the first one, but never finished it and didn't bother with the second one. If you enjoy mindless shooters with hordes of enemies, then they're the game for you.

It's funny, but I still enjoy playing Doom1 and Doom2 today (with the latest OpenGL mods). It's similar to SS with all the groups of enemies, but the atmosphere is much different.

Saing Newegg's picture of the 7-in-1 CD and zooming in, I can make out:

- The Sum of All Fears
- IL-2 Sturm.
- Serious Sam: The Second Encounter

I can't tell what the other 4 games are, though.

The 7 in 1 includes:

The Sum of All Fears
IL-2 Sturmovik
Serious Sam: The 2nd Encounter
Rally Trophy
Beam Breakers
Zax: The Alien Hunter
Oni

Any of those worth a crap? Think I may give Duke Nukem: The Manhattan Project a spin just to see what it looks like. Probably will suck after just playing Far Cry/Doom 3.

I got a different MSI card, but almost the same bundle.

The problem with Morrowind is that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

Getting up and running on that game with no manual is going to be difficult to say the least. If you DO decide to try, check out www.gamefaqs.com for some hints.

I also got Jedi Academy with my Sound Blaster card. Once again, no instruction (Boooo hissss). However, that one was easier to figure out.

I recently bought the same card and gave morrowind a try, the graphics suck hardcore and I just couldn't get into it (this is after just beating farcry mind you). I love the idea of this game though. MMORPG without the cheating and forced grind to keep up in pvp. Does anyone know if a Morrowind 2 is in the works with a graphics engine newer then quake2? I swear the graphics in Morrwind are vintage HL1 quality...

My uncle gave me his MSI bundle. Mannhattan Project has old graphics, but the mindless jumping and shooting is fun. Btw Morrowind is a good game for anyone who appreciates RPG's.
