There was a post like this awhile back. They were preowned and many people decided not to get one because they were scared of kiddy boogers. 🙂

why is GBA so cheap now? it came out less than a year ago and it was twice this much. i hope it's not a dying system already?

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't worry about it, the GBA isn't dying. Just be glad that it's cheap now if you want to pick one up.

Rumor is Nintendo is coming out with a model featuring backlight display; something they should have done to begin with.
Castlevania was never played on the GBA. The developers were using emulators and playing it on their PC not realizing how dark it would be on the GBA.

Mostly because it killed off the GBC and replaced it. If you were to add the GBA in the console war (salewise and tie-in ratio).. the GBA would be so far in first place, it'll laughable. BTW, the GBA came out at $89.99 ($99.99 at some retailers) and is now $69.99

The lower prices you see are used GBA's or from coupon deals.

And there is no way this thing can die. Nintendo is killing in the portable market. And with their renewed relationship with Squaresoft, this thing is gonna be HOT HOT HOT! Good rpg's (finally!), here I come!

i've seen them for 59.99 new. (made the overstock deal REALLY good.. too bad it's sitting in the box on my counter cause i don't have any games 🙂 )
