I'm going a little crazy here. I can't find any games out there that I want to play. I've tried a lot of my older games and just don't have the desire to play those either.

Argh need help/suggestions. BTW, I recently quit smoking and maybe that's part of the problem. :) With that being said, I still think this is quite possibly the worst period in gaming history. I walked the aisles of Best Buy/Wally World/etc. and saw nothing that piqued my interest. Nothing.

Hell, I couldn't even find a demo that interested me. I just installed D2 and that is quite possibly the saddest statement I can think of that I could make. But, now that it is installed, I don't even want to fire it up. Bleh.

same here - i was highly disappointed in the BFME2 demo. shadows were horrendous, with 1280x960 everything up (it wouldnt let me select 12x10), interface was slow (i really hate how the menu pulls up/down)... i still only play starcraft and Warhammer40k: winter assault

How about looking at older games that you haven't ever played?

There are piles of older strategy and RPG games from Heroes of Might & Magic II - III to Fallout 1-2 and Baldur's Gate I-II + expansions. If you aren't a graphics snob there are plenty of action games from Blood and Mechwarrior II to No One Lives Forever 1-2 and Star Trek Voyager Elite Force.

Have you played the Final Fantasy series? Get a PSOne dirt cheap for IV - IX, or a PSTwo to also be able to play X, X-2 and other PS2 games.

Psychonauts is a pretty good game, as well as Silent Storm, The Movies, Darwinia, plus a whole slew of classics - I think taht the game aisles are being mminimized in all those stores, giving room to the newer consoles - which means that only the big blockbuster games are going to be put on display - you might have to start looking online for some of the more niche titles, which is unfortunate . . ..

Agreed. The first one is much better, but the second is still very good.

Also check out Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. It's like a suped up version of Mario 64 mixed with a fighting game. Both are great fun, the first one is kind of blah (but I played WW and TTT first).

I know where you're at though. I've been playing CS:S even though I suck at it.

I've played everything guys. There is no going back and playing KOTOR for me. I guess I could replay it but I just don't feel up to it. I fired up Breath of Fire earlier today, played it for about 30 minutes, and then got bored so Chrono Trigger/FF are out as well.

But, Psychonauts! Hrmm I forgot all about that one maybe it will be the one to save me.

Ive already beaten the PoP series twice on the X-Box. KotOR is a cheap series to buy, and theres literally thousands of hours of replayabilty.

I feel the same way. I've played most of the classics, some multiple times so I really don't want to again..

I've played pretty much every mmorpg and finally decided that after WoW I am done with them. Well, I'm done with WoW so I'm done with mmorpgs. :)

I almost bought the starcraft battlechest today since I can't find my discs. It's funny because I consider making the purchase every single time I'm in a store that sells it.

I know the feeling as well. Right now I'm trying Boiling Point and Soldiers: Heroes of WWII.

Vampire: Bloodlines isn't all that bad, especially with the latest fan-made patch. If you haven't tried it yet, you may want to give it a shot.

Operation: Flashpoint brings back some good memories too.
