Gallup Poll Acuracy since 1936

Other than a couple of surprise winners (Clinton in '92 for example), they have been within their margin of error.

Dunno if this deserves its own thread, but Gallup has Obama with a 11pt lead right now, his highest yet

Negative attacks by the right having an adverse effect?

EDIT: Ahh, they go through the 8th so it may have not had an effect yet.

I believe, though I may be wrong that teh Galup changes from registered voters to likely voters just a couple of weeks before the election(havn't changed yet).

The others are only polling for likely voters which is why it is so different. Basically don't follow the Gallup at all right now, just follow the trend it is taking either for McCain or Obama.
