I had a similar problem before, but basically punted.
I just moved 3 domains from one provider to the other. 2 of the domains were done using WHM and the other was done using FTP. My album size from one server to the other has doubled and in some cases tripled in size. The only fix I have found was to whipe out the gallery ablums and re-upload using the remote. That many pictures will take a long time. Especially for multiple domains.
Anyone run into this problem before and find a fix?
